I bought a sylvan signature 8522 with "rpt" toons in march 2010.haven't had much luck with the reliability of the rpt toons. soon after purchase, left toon nose section cracked at a joining weld, then a few months later the right toon cracked (same place) as the one on the right toon.. I'd hate to let that be the deciding factor in my boat purchase. yes, performance is a consideration for some people, but not all. my usual lake is not that big at around 650 acres, so out-right performance is low on my priorities..
